FAST NU Admission 2025 Apply Online

To apply for admission at FAST-NUCES, students must complete an online application at the official portal: admissions.nu.edu.pk. The application process includes form filling, uploading academic records, and selecting the desired test center. A processing fee is to be paid online or through bank challan. No manual submissions are accepted. Students can apply for BS, MS, or PhD programs based on their prior qualifications.

NUCES Entry Test Schedule

The university conducts its own admission test, which is mandatory for undergraduate and graduate applicants (except those applying on SAT/GRE basis). The undergraduate test will run from July 7 to 15, 2025, across all campuses. Graduate and postgraduate tests will take place from July 6 to 9, 2025. The tests will assess subject knowledge and analytical skills depending on the program applied for.

NUCES Entry Test Roll Number Slip 2025

After successful registration and fee submission, candidates will receive their roll number slips through the FAST admissions portal. These slips will include details such as test center, timing, and test guidelines. Applicants must download and print their slip before arriving at the examination venue. No candidate will be allowed to sit for the test without their roll number slip and original CNIC/form-B.

Admission Fee

Admission Fee of Rs 30,000 (w.e.f Fall 2024 semester) is payable once at the time of admission. If a graduate of this University is admitted to a higher degree program, then admission fee is not payable again.

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit of Rs 20,000 is also payable at the time of admission.

Tuition Fee (w.e.f. Fall 2025 semester)

Tuition Fee is payable in full before the start of each semester. It is subject to revision every year. For the academic year 2025-26 the tuition fee per credit hour is as follows:

Student Activities Fund

To support co-curricular and extra-curricular activities a Student Activities Fund has been formed. Students contribute Rs 2,500 (w.e.f. Fall 2024 semester) towards Students Activities Fund per semester.

These fees are non-refundable.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programs (BS)

Candidates must fulfill one of the following:

Intermediate or Equivalent:

  • Minimum 60% marks in Intermediate/ HSSC (Part I and II) with Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical with Mathematics, ICS, or equivalent.
  • For BS (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security): Mathematics is compulsory.

A-Level Students:

  • Must have at least 3 subjects including Math.
  • Should submit an equivalence certificate from IBCC.

SAT Score (Optional Alternative to Entry Test):

  • SAT-I: Minimum 1,000 (Math and Verbal)
  • SAT-II (Math Level II & Physics): Minimum score as per department requirements (check official website)

Eligibility Criteria for Graduate Programs (MS)

  • Bachelor’s (4 years) / BS / BE / BSc (Hons) in a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
  • Minimum CGPA of 2.0 or 50% marks in annual system.
  • For MS (CS/Software/AI/Data Science), background in computing or completion of deficiency courses.
  • GAT-General / NTS or FAST-NUCES MS Admission Test required.

Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Programs

  • MS/M.Phil or equivalent (18 years of education) in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 60% marks in MS/M.Phil.
  • Must pass FAST-NUCES Ph.D. Admission Test or GAT-Subject (as per HEC rules).
  • Research proposal/interview may be required depending on the department.
