HEC LAW GAT Test

The Law Graduate Assessment Test (LAW-GAT) is compulsory to pass for all individuals who want to practice law as an advocate. The test is conducted under the supervision of the Higher Education Commission HEC and the candidates who clear the test with at least the minimum required marks, become eligible for applying to a Bar Council for permission for practicing law. The condition of passing the test has been imposed by Pakistan Bar Council in order to make sure that only the individuals with proper knowledge of the law are able to practice law.

In order to become eligible for appearing in the LAW GAT HEC test, applicants must have passed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from any Bar Council recognized University.
