HEC Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2024 Covers

Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan/AJ&K.

Age Limit: For undergraduate programs, the applicant must be between the ages of 18-22 years. For postgraduate Master’s (18 years) and Ph.D. programs, the age limit should not exceed 35 years as of January 15, 2024. However, for full-time employees of public sector Universities, Colleges, and R&D organizations applying for Ph.D. programs, the maximum age limit is 40 years as of January 15, 2024.

Educational Qualifications:

1. For Bachelor’s (Undergraduate Program), the applicant must have completed HSSC/Intermediate or an equivalent qualification.
2. For Master’s (Postgraduate Program), the applicant must have completed 16 years of bachelor’s or an equivalent degree.
3. For Ph.D. Program, the applicant must have completed 18 years of education or an equivalent degree.

Language Proficiency: IELTS/TOEFL scores are required, where applicable.

Required Documents for Hungaricum Scholarship

Attested Certificates/Transcripts/Degrees: All certificates, transcripts, and degrees must be attested by the relevant authorities such as IBCC and HEC. Equivalence of O & A level from IBCC is mandatory.

Medical Certificate: All applicants must submit a medical certificate from a physician, confirming their satisfactory health condition. The certificate should state that the applicant does not have any illnesses such as AIDS, Hepatitis A, B, C, or any other epidemic conditions.

Commitment and Bond: If selected, applicants will be required to submit a bond on legal paper to HEC. The bond states that the applicant will not change their discipline after receiving the scholarship and will return to Pakistan immediately after completing their degree to serve the country for a prescribed period determined by the HEC. Failure to comply may result in a penalty amount as determined by the HEC.

How to Apply Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship

Online applications through the HEC and Hungarian websites are mandatory for applicants. The online application forms on both of the webpages listed in Steps (1) and (2) must be submitted in order for processing to proceed.
Applications and other documentation are not initially needed to be submitted in hard copy. However, in addition to hard copies of BOTH application forms (filed online at the HEC website and the Hungarian website), applicants must maintain a record of all the papers they have supplied.

Applicants will need to submit hard copies of all original documentation, authenticated photocopies of them, and online application forms completed through the HEC and Hungarian websites at a later stage of the selection process.
