Selecting Criteria for Commonwealth Scholarships

The final selection will be confirmed by UK Commission. The Selection Committee will nominate the eligible candidates for scholarships on a merit basis.

Eligibility Criteria for Commonwealth Scholarships

• The candidates should be permanent residents of Pakistan/ Azad Jammu Kashmir(AJK).
• The Candidates should have a Master’s Degree or equivalent.
• Students Awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
• All applicants must submit a HAT test score.
• The applicant must have at least 60 points out of 100 for the HAT test.
• Candidates who have passed the HAT test can upload the test score on the HEC portal to be considered.

• The scholarship provides the following benefits to students:
• A stipend of Ps1,133 per month to master’s students
• A monthly grant of PS1,516 to students pursuing a Ph.D. Students
• Clothing allowance

• Costs of travel
• Tickets for air travel to the field for fieldwork
• Family Allocation
• The Spouse Allowance in the amount of PS266 per month
• If you have children and a spouse with you and you have a spouse, the amount of PS266 every month will get the stipend.
• If you have a child who is with you and is not married an allowance of P529 each month can be paid.
