Under the PM fee Reimbursement Scheme 2024 , the students belonging to underdeveloped areas of the country such Punjab KPK Balochistan Jammu & Kashmir will be given scholarships for post-graduate degrees (M.A, MSc, M.Phil, MS and Ph.D).

The Federal Government’s aim towards introducing this scheme is to provide opportunities of gaining higher education to students who are talented but still aren’t able to complete their higher education due to financial constraints. So through this scheme, the federal government will pay the complete tuition fee of selected students. According to the announcement made by the government, total 100,000 scholarships will be granted to students over two years and for this purpose, Rs 1.8 billion has been allocated for the scheme in budget of year FY 2024.

PM Fee Reimbursement Scheme 2024

The Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme 2024 was officially inaugurated. In this scheme, scholarships will be given to students of the master’s or higher classes(MA MSc, MSc, MS MPhil Ph.D.) from the under-developed regions of Pakistan. Female and male students can apply for scholarships under the Prime Minister’s Fee Rebate Scheme 2024. The government will directly pay the tuition fees (Including other academic fees that are mandatory) of the scholarship winners to their respective educational institutions.

PM Fee Reimbursement Scheme Amount

As much as 40000 per year in tuition fees (Including additional academic charges that are obligatory) will be paid in this program. As a result, a total of 30000 students will be granted scholarships. This year, the government has allocated 1.2 billion rupees for the Prime Minister’s fee reimbursement (Scholarship). HEC will manage and implement the scheme. At the same time, the Ministry of Education will implement the scheme at the grass-root level.

Application Procedure PM Fee Reimbursement

If you meet the eligibility criteria, then visit the official PMFRS portal pmfrs.hec.gov.pk. New applicants seeking admission can apply through the new registration options available on the portal for suggested sessions. New students must submit their applications online up to 4th April 2024.

Data of ll ongoing eligible students is being managed online at official website. It is your responsibility to verify your records; otherwise, you won’t be qualified for The Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme in 2024. PM Fee Reimbursement Eligibility Criteria

Male and female students from remote and underprivileged areas have been accepted into any master’s or doctoral degree at a university accredited by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan to apply for scholarships under the Prime Minister’s Fee Reimbursement Scheme 2024. The list of universities that are approved can be found on the HEC website.

Students must reside in the area in any of the following areas

  • Interior Sindh
  • South Punjab
  • Balochistan
  • Selected areas underdeveloped of KPK 4-Selected underdeveloped areas of KPK Chitral, Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Swat, Bunner, Shangala, Malakand, Kohistan, DI Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Bagram, Kala Dhaka/Torghar, Kohat, Bannu, Hangu, Karak.
  • Gilgit Baltistan
  • Federally Administrated tribal areas (FATA)
  • Azad The Jammu and Kashmir
  • Khushab Mianwali, Bhakkar and Attock
