Unlike male candidates who can join after Intermediate (PMA Long Course), the induction channels for females are highly specialized.

1. Can Girls Join Pak Army After Matric (10th Grade)?

The Short Answer: No.

There is currently no direct induction for females immediately after Matriculation. The Pakistan Army does not recruit females as Soldiers (Sepoys).

If you are a Matric student dreaming of the Army, you must choose your next steps carefully:

Step 1: You MUST select F.Sc Pre-Medical in Intermediate.
Why? This is the only route that opens the door to the AFNS (Nursing) course after 12th Grade.
Warning: If you choose ICS, I.Com, or F.A (Arts), you cannot join the Army immediately after Intermediate. You will have to wait until you complete your University graduation (16 Years).

2. Join Pak Army After Intermediate (F.Sc / F.A)

This is the first entry point for females, but it is restricted to Biology students only.

Option A: For F.Sc Pre-Medical Students

Course: AFNS (Armed Forces Nursing Service).
Rank: Lieutenant (Nursing Officer).
Requirement: Minimum 50% Marks in F.Sc Pre-Medical.
Procedure: You apply for AFNS, the Army trains you for 4 years (BSc Nursing) completely free, and you graduate as an Officer.

Option B: For F.Sc Pre-Eng / ICS / F.A / I.Com Students

Can you join now? No.
What to do? You must pursue a BS Degree (4 Years) in a relevant field like Software Engineering, Psychology, English, or Engineering. You can then apply for the Lady Cadet Course (LCC) after graduation.

3. Join Pak Army After BA / BSc / ADP (14 Years Education)

Crucial Update 2026:

In the past, the Army accepted 14 years of education (Simple BA/BSc) for certain branches. This policy has changed.

Current Status: You CANNOT join the Pakistan Army as a Commissioned Officer with just a 2-year BA/BSc or Associate Degree Program (ADP).
Requirement: You must complete your Master’s (MA/MSc) or upgrade your degree to 16 Years of Education (BS Hons) to become eligible.

4. Join Pak Army After BS / MA / MSc (16 Years Education)

This is the primary gateway for most females. If you have completed 16 Years of education, you can join via the Lady Cadet Course (LCC).

A: Usually, No. The Army Education Corps (AEC) typically demands degrees in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, or International Relations. Vacancies for Urdu/Islamiyat are very rare for females.

Q: I have a BS in Mass Communication. Is there a job?
A: Ideally, you fit into ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations), but direct induction for Captains in ISPR is rare. You generally have to wait for specific advertisements under “Information Officer” or join via CSS.

Q: Can I join after doing DAE (Diploma)?
A: No, females with DAE cannot join. You must complete your higher engineering degree (BE/BS Engineering) to join the EME or Engineering Corps.
