What is e-Rozgaar Programme?

e-Rozgaar Program, a joint project of the Youth Affairs & Sports Department (YASB) and Punjab Information Technology Board, provides training in digital skills and freelancing for youth to help them become more employable through internet-based freelancing.

Purpose Behind Thal University E-Rozgaar Scheme 2024

The government has a responsibility to guide the province’s educated youth in the right direction, given the current financial and social challenges as well as the rising unemployment rate. The Punjab Information Technology Board and Youth Affairs and Sports Department decided to open e-Rozgaar centers in 36 Punjabi districts and Thal University Bhakkar. This will provide training for budding freelancers and improve their professional skills. The Government of Punjab will support the youth to earn a sustainable income through this initiative.

This project has one major objective: to offer training opportunities for youth to self-employment via internet-based freelancing. TUB and the Government of Punjab have made a wise move to accelerate the freelancing skills of approximately 15,000 people over a one-year period, which will ultimately help them earn a decent living. This program is more than a training program. It’s a revolution that will generate employment and help Pakistan prepare for the future.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply

• Candidate must complete 12 years of education (FA or FSC equivalent).
• Valid CNIC/B-Form must be present
• Communication and writing skills are essential.
• There is no age limit
• Must have a Punjabi domicile
