کسان نے چغل خور کو دو شرائط پر ملازم رکھا۔
(i)۔وہ اسے صرف روٹی اور کپڑا دے گا۔
(ii)۔ہر چھ ماہ بعد چغلخورکو ایک چغلی کھانے کی اجازت ہوگی۔
چغل خور نے کسان کی بیوی سے کہا کہ کسان کو رھی ہو گیا ہے اور اس نے یہ بیماری اب تک چھپا کے رکھی ہے۔ یعنی اسے کوڑھ کا مرض لاحق ہو گیا ہے۔
ہر چغلخور اس بات کو ماننے سے انکار کرتا ہے کہ وہ چغلخور ہے کیونکہ کوئی چغلخور یہ نہیں مانتا کہ وہ چغل خور ہے۔
چغلخور کو اپنی بری عادت سے یہ نقصان اُٹھانا پڑا کہ لوگوں کا اس پر اعتماد کم ہو گیا۔ اسی عادت کی وجہ سے اسے اپنی ملازمت سے بھی ہاتھ دھونا پڑے۔ چنانچہ وہ بے کار ہو گیا۔ مختلف لوگوں سے کہا دردر کی خاک چھانی ایک ایک کے پاس گیا مگر اسے یہ نقصان اُٹھانا پڑا کہ چغلخور ہونے کی وجہ سے اسے کوئی بھی اپنے پاس ملازم رکھنے کو تیار نہ تھا۔
