صنف سے مراد عورت اور مرد کے وہ کردار ہیں جن کا تعین معاشرہ کرتا ہے۔ جس کی بنیاد پر لوگوں کے تصورات بنتے ہیں کہ مرد اور عورت کیا کچھ کر سکتے ہیں۔ اور کیا نہیں اور کن وسائل تک رسائی حاصل کرسکتے ہیں۔
تشدد سے مراد کسی فرد کو جسمانی نقصان پہنچانا یا ذہنی دباؤ مسلط کرنا ہے، ان میں گھریلو تشدد، جسمانی تشدد، نفسیاتی دباؤ، معاشی استحصال، تعاقب یا پیچھا کرنا اور سائبر کرائم (موبائل/کمپیوٹر یا انٹر نیٹ کے ذریعے کیے جانے والے جرائم یا دھمکیاں) شامل ہیں۔
معاشرے میں خواتین پر تشدد کی چند مثالیں یہ ہیں:
جائیداد کی وارثت میں خواتین سے امتیازی سلوک، کام کی جگہوں پر ان سے بدسلوکی، گھر میں خاوند کا ناروا رویہ، مردوں کے برابر کام کرنے کے باوجود کم اجرت، جہیز نہ لانے پر سسرال والوں کا تشدد آمیز رویہ، لڑکیوں کی تعلیم کے معاملے میں والدین کی تنگ نظری، حقوق کی پامالی وغیرہ خواتین کے لئے عام عمل ہیں۔
حکومت پنجاب نے تشدد کی صورت میں خواتین کے تحفظ کا ایکٹ 2016ء پنجاب اسمبلی میں پیش کیا جسے 24 فروری 2016ء کو متفقہ طور پر منظور کر لیا گیا۔ اس بل کامقصد متاثرہ خواتین کو انصاف کی فراہمی ہے۔ پاکستان کی تاریخ میں پہلی مرتبہ اس بل کے ذریعے خواتین کو درج ذیل جرائم سے جامع تحفظ دیا گیا ہے:
گھریلو تشدد، جذباتی اور نفسیاتی بدسلوکی، معاشی عدم مساوات، ہر اساں کرنا اور سائبر کرائمز۔
پریپ سے مرادپہلی جماعت سے پہلے کی تعلیم ہے۔ پرائمری تعلیم سے مراد اول سے پنجم جماعت تک کی تعلیم ہے۔
تحفظِ نسواں ایکٹ 2016ء کے ذریعے خواتین کو مندرجہ ذیل جرائم سے جامع تحفظ دیا گیا ہے:
گھریلو تشدد، جذباتی اور نفسیاتی بدسلوکی، معاشی عدم مساوات، ہر اساں کرنا اور سائبر کرائمز۔
پاکستان کی دو بہادر خواتین پائلٹوں کے نام درج ذیل ہیں:
(i)۔ شہناز لغاری
(ii)۔ مریم مختیار
ارفع کریم پاکستان کی کم عمر ترین مائیکرو سافٹ وئیر سرٹیفائیڈ تھی۔
