The COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) has officially announced the admission schedule for Spring 2026. The online registration portal is now open for all campuses including Islamabad, Lahore, Abbottabad, Wah, Attock, Sahiwal, and Vehari.

Current Status: The last date to apply varies by campus, with the Lahore campus closing on December 29, 2025, and others in mid-January 2026. All candidates must appear in the NTS NAT Special Test conducted by CUI or provide a valid NTS NAT result card.

The university conducts its own special NTS NAT tests for admissions. Below is the confirmed schedule for the Spring 2026 intake:

CIIT Admission NTS Roll No Slip

Candidates who register for the COMSATS Special NTS Test can download their Roll No Slip 1 week before the exam.

• How to Download: Visit the NTS website or the CUI Admission Portal (admissions.comsats.edu.pk).

• Requirement: Enter your CNIC (e.g., 33100-1234567-1) to print the slip.

• Instructions: Bring your printed Roll Number Slip and original CNIC/B-Form to the test center. Mobile phones and calculators are strictly prohibited.

COMSATS Entry Test Syllabus 2026

The entry test follows the standard NTS NAT (National Aptitude Test) pattern. The syllabus depends on your intermediate background:

• NAT-IE (Pre-Engineering): English, Analytical, Quant, Physics, Chemistry, Math.

• NAT-IM (Pre-Medical): English, Analytical, Quant, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

• NAT-ICS (Computer Science): English, Analytical, Quant, Physics, Computer Science, Math.

• NAT-IA (Arts/Humanities): English, Analytical, Quant, Islamiyat, Pak Studies, General Knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

To apply for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. BS Programs:

   • Minimum 50% to 60% marks in Intermediate (HSSC) or equivalent.

   • Note: Engineering programs usually require 60%+, while non-engineering programs require 50%+.

2. MS Programs:

   • 16 years of education with a minimum 2.5 CGPA (semester system) or 60% marks (annual system).

   • Must pass NTS GAT (General) with 50% marks.

3. PhD Programs:

   • 18 years of education with a minimum 3.0 CGPA.

   • Must pass NTS GAT (Subject) with 60% marks.

COMSATS Fee Structure 2026

Please note that fees have increased for the 2025-26 sessions.

One-Time Charges (At Admission):

• Admission Fee: Rs. 22,000

• Registration Fee: Rs. 3,000

• Security (Refundable): Rs. 2,000

Semester Fee (Tuition):

• BS Computer Science / SE: Rs. 139,000 to Rs. 146,000 per semester.

• BS Engineering (Electrical/Computer): Rs. 144,500 per semester.

• BS Non-Engineering (Math/Phy/English): Rs. 110,000 to Rs. 128,000 per semester.

• MS Programs: ~Rs. 77,500 per semester.

Important Guidelines

1. Online Application: Applications are only accepted online via admissions.comsats.edu.pk. No manual forms are accepted.

2. Merit Lists: The 1st Merit List is usually displayed 1-2 weeks after the last NTS test date.

3. Original Documents: Selected candidates must bring original Matric/Inter result cards during the interview/document verification process.

4. Result Awaiting: Students waiting for their HSSC Part-II results can apply based on Part-I results (Hope Certificate).

COMSATS NTS Test Pattern 2026

The test consists of 90 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be attempted in 120 Minutes.

Paper Distribution:

1. English (Verbal): 20 MCQs (Synonyms, Antonyms, Grammar, Comprehension)

2. Analytical Reasoning: 20 MCQs (Scenario-based, Logic)

3. Quantitative (Math): 20 MCQs (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry)

4. Subject Knowledge: 30 MCQs (Based on your FSc subjects like Phy, Chem, Bio, Comp, or Math)

COMSATS Merit Calculation Formula

Your aggregate will be calculated based on the following weightage:

• Matric / O-Level: 10%

• Intermediate / A-Level: 40%

• NTS Entry Test: 50%

Formula: (Matric % x 0.10) + (Inter % x 0.40) + (NTS Score x 0.50) = Aggregate

Q: Is the NTS test compulsory for COMSATS?

A: Yes, passing the NTS NAT (for BS) or NTS GAT (for MS) is mandatory. You can either take the “Special NTS” conducted by COMSATS or use a valid result from a regular NTS test.
