The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has announced the opening of online registration for its Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC/SPSSC) courses for 2026. The recruitment drive offers an opportunity for eligible Pakistani citizens to join the Air Force as commissioned officers in flying, engineering, logistics, education, administration, accounts, and information technology branches. Online applications will be accepted from July 22 to August 3, 2026, through the official PAF recruitment portal.

The latest induction includes five Permanent Commission courses and four Short Service Commission branches, with separate eligibility criteria for each category. Candidates will have to pass an online intelligence test, academic examination, initial medical assessment, physical fitness test, interview, ISSB (where applicable), and a final medical examination before selection. Those applying for the General Duty Pilot (GDP) branch will also undergo aviation-related screening before commencing flight training.

How to Apply Online for PAF Jobs 2026?

Follow this 4-step procedure to register successfully.

Step 1: Visit the Official Portal Go to the official PAF recruitment website: www.joinpaf.gov.pk. Do not trust third-party links for registration.

Step 2: Enter CNIC & Verify Eligibility

Click on “Register Online”.

Enter your CNIC (without dashes).

The system will show a list of available courses. Select the one that matches your qualification (e.g., GDP or AeroTrade).

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

Personal Details: Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Religion.

Academic Details: Matric/F.Sc Marks, Passing Year, and Board.

Selection Center: Choose the center nearest to your city (e.g., Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi). Note: This cannot be changed later.

Step 4: Print Registration Slip

Once submitted, your Roll No Slip will be generated instantly.

Print it immediately (Ctrl + P). It contains your Test Date and Time.

Eligibility Criteria for Commissioned Officers

Before applying, ensure you meet the physical and academic standards.

Nationality: Male/Female Citizen of Pakistan.

Marital Status: Unmarried (Married allowed for some SSC courses).

Height:

Male: Min 5 ft 4 inches (163 cm).

Female: Min 5 ft 2 inches (157 cm).

Pilot Vision: 6/6 without glasses (For GDP).

Age Limit:

GDP / AD: 16 to 22 Years.

CAE: 16 to 22 Years.

SSC (Graduates): 18 to 30 Years.

Documents Required at Selection Center

You will be turned away if you miss any of these original documents on test day.

  1. Original CNIC (Smart Card) or B-Form (if under 18) + Father’s CNIC Copy.
  2. Original Marksheets: Matric and F.Sc (or Equivalence Certificate for O/A Levels).
  3. Registration Slip: The printed copy of your roll number slip.
  4. Domicile Certificate: Original.
  5. Photos: 4 x Passport size photographs (Blue background).
  6. NOC: For serving government employees.

Selection Procedure 2026 (The Roadmap)

Your journey from application to joining involves these stages:

  1. E-Testing (Intelligence & Academic): Computer-based test at the selection center.
  2. Preliminary Medical: Checking height, weight, eyesight, and flat feet.
  3. Initial Interview: A short interview to assess confidence.

Written Test Details

The written examination consists of two parts:

  • Intelligence Test

Candidates will first attempt a computer-based intelligence test.

  • Academic Test

The academic test is based on the candidate’s selected branch and generally includes:

  • Relevant professional subjects (for degree holders)

Candidates must qualify both tests before proceeding to the next stage.
