The country’s first Government testing body established by the Higher Education Commission viz.  Education Testing Council (ETC) will hold standardized tests for admission to universities from Fall 2024 .

The ETC aims at instituting uniform, accessible, competitive assessment base for admissions to Higher Education Institutions as part of Government strategy of people first and equitable development. The test will be free of cost for all students interested for taking admission in public and private sector universities. Validity of test will be for two years. How to Apply?

The complete Procedure to apply HEC Undergraduate Entry Test is discussed below in very summarily.
Step 1:-

• Go to E-Portal HEC, you will see the below interface. Just click on Register because you’re not a member, you need to have an account on it.

Step 2:-

• Then you have to complete the information with your nationality, CNIC, Region, password, and phone number.
• The same goes for the email address that you need to provide the code that will be sent to your email
• Keep in mind, that you should write the correct phone number where a code will be sent that you have to write.

Step 3:-

• After this, you will receive this email from HEC.
• In this email, you will get a USER ID
• Once you get it, go to E-Portal, and sign in with the USER ID that you received in your Gmail and the password that you entered while filling out the form.

Step 4:-

• Now go to My Profile, and complete the information of Personal Detail, Contact, and Education. You don’t need to complete the information for other things like Publications etc.

Step 5:-

• Once you reach to Education Tab, complete the SSC and HSSC details.

Step 6:-

• Click on ETC Entry Test then Apply for Entry Test.

How do I apply for the 2024 HEC Scholarship?

Scholarships will be awarded to students for the Spring/Fall-2024 session at top-ranked HEC-identified international universities from advanced nations ( University List). Application Procedure: Applicants are required to submit an online application via the HEC e-portal (eportal.hec.gov.pk).

What is the amount of HEC scholarship?

The scholarship will cover the entire cost of tuition and a monthly allowance ( PKR 6000/month for ten months).

Who is eligible for HEC?

Applicants for undergraduate/bachelors program must have intermediate/A-level/FA-FSC (12 years) of education and be under 25 at the time of application. Candidates for the Master’s program require a Bachelor’s Degree (16 years) and must be under 35 at the moment of application.

What is the age limit for undergraduate?

It is not a time restriction for the higher education system. You can begin your UG course when you are 19 years old or older when you graduate from high school and goes to college, or at 35, 40, or 50 before beginning a UG course at any college.
