PEC Large Scale Assessment Schedule and Datesheet 2025 SBA School-Based Assessment

Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) End-of-Year LSA/SBA 2025

The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has officially released the End-of-Year School-Based Assessment (SBA) 2025 schedule. As per the announced timetable, the SBA examinations will commence from March 10, 2025, across all government and private schools in Punjab.

This assessment is mandatory for students of Grades 1 to 8, ensuring a standardized evaluation of their academic progress. Model papers and practice papers for the final term examinations are available for students to aid in their preparation.

LSA Exam Timings

The SBA 2025 examinations will be conducted in two shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 10:00 AM – 01:00 PM (Friday: 09:00 AM – 12:00 Noon)
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Schools that operate afternoon classes will conduct the examination in two groups:

  • Group 1: Morning shift (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
  • Group 2: Afternoon shift (2:30 PM – 5:30 PM)

  • Uploading of Item Bank: March 3, 2025

SOPs for SBA 2025 in Schools

  1. Item Bank Upload:
    • The Item Bank will be uploaded to the Item Bank System (IBS) on March 3, 2025.
  2. Assessment Structure:
    • The SBA 2025 follows the curriculum and Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs).
    • All question papers will be bilingual, except for:
      • English
      • Urdu
      • Quran Translation
      • Ethics
    • Schools have the option to generate papers in Urdu or English medium.
  3. Exam Paper Generation:
    • Each school will use the IBS system to generate its own question papers.
    • All question papers will include a scannable QR code containing school details and EMIS code.
  4. Assessment & Marking Criteria:
    • Grades 3 to 8: Each subject’s question paper will have two pages with a QR code for record-keeping.
    • Marking will be based on answer keys and rubrics generated by IBS.
    • Grades 1 and 2: Assessment will be oral, divided into five parts (20 marks each).
    • Written Assessments: For Urdu and English, students will have a written question to assess writing skills.
    • Listening, Speaking & Reading Skills:
      • For English and Urdu, skills will be assessed on separate days.
      • Assessment rubrics will include questions specifically designed for these skills.

Instructions for Schools

  • School heads and teachers can generate SBA 2025 final term papers from March 3, 2025.
  • Teachers must use their PEC-issued credentials to access IBS and download papers.
  • Multiple versions of question papers (Versions A to H) are available in Urdu and English.

The PEC SBA 2025 will be conducted as per the structured schedule, ensuring fair and standardized assessments for Grade 1 to 8 students. Schools are advised to strictly follow the given timetable and assessment guidelines. Report cards will be distributed to parents by April 3, 2025, ensuring timely feedback on students’ academic progress.

How to Fill the Report Card

  • Student Information

School Name & District: Enter the school’s name and location.
Student Details: Include full name, father’s name, date of birth (in digits & words), B-Form number (if available), class, section, and roll number.

  • Marks Entry

Record student’s marks for each subject as per the provided list.
Mention total marks (usually 50 or 100).
Mark absent students as “غیر حاضر” (Absent).

  • Total Marks & Grade Calculation

Sum up the obtained marks and enter the total.
Assign grades based on the percentage:A+ (80% & above)
A (70-79%)
B (60-69%)
C (50-59%)
D (40-49%)
E (33-39%)
Fail (Below 33%)

  • Teacher’s Remarks & Signatures

Provide brief comments on the student’s performance, such as:”Excellent performance, keep working hard.”
“Needs improvement.”
Signatures of the Class Teacher and Head Teacher are required for validation.
