• For M.Phil Remote Sensing and GIS M.Sc (GIS), M.Sc (CS), M.Sc (IT) / BS/(Hons.) with Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information Systems/ Bioinformatics Degree or its equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognized University (at least 16 year of education; 130 credit hours) as per Higher Education Commission (HEC) rules.
• For Ph.D Computer Science
  MS/M.Phil/M.Sc. (Engg/Hons.) with Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Information Systems/ Bioinformatics Degree or its equivalent in the relevant subject from a recognized University (at least 18 year of education) with minimum CGPA > 3.00/4.00 as per Higher Education Commission (HEC) rules
• 50 percent marks are mandatory for academic qualification otherwise candidate will not be able to appear in the written test.

Note: After securing admission in any of the degree programs, if you want to freeze your admission in your present degree/session, you must submit a written application to the PUCIT Admission Office in this regard. Entry Test Guidelines

• Candidate MUST bring entry test slip and original CNIC with them in the Test Centre. In case the candidate does not have his/her CNIC, he/she is required to bring his/her original secondary school certificate, Original Passport or Driving license to enter the examination hall.
• No candidate will be allowed to enter the Test Centre without these documents.
• B-Form or College/School ID card are not acceptable.
• Hand bags, mobile phones, calculators etc. are NOT ALLOWED in the Examination Centre.

• Number of Questions: 35
• Time Allowed: 1 Hour

Paper Pattern and Type of Questions for MPhil & PhD (CS)

• There will be 60 MCQs that have to be solved in 90 minutes.
• 60% of the test will be from three core areas of computer science.
• Theory of Automata, Data Structures, and Analysis of Algorithms.
• The Remaining 40% of the test will comprise of quantitative/analytical questions (analytical reasoning; pattern recognition; ratios, percentages, proportions basic probability and counting).
• Passing marks are 50% for the MPhil Program and 70% for the PhD Program.

Paper Pattern and Type of Questions for MPhil (RS & GIS)

• There will be 60 MCQs that have to be solved in 90 minutes.
• 60% of the test will be from the following areas of RS & GIS.
• Introduction to GIS, Remote Sensing & Digital Image Processing, Spatial Analysis, Databases, GIS Programming (Object Oriented).
• The Remaining 40% of the test will comprise of quantitative/analytical questions (analytical reasoning; pattern recognition; ratios, percentages, proportions; basic probability and counting).
• Passing marks are 50%.
• Grading Policy is that you will receive 4 mark for a correct answer, 0 mark for a wrong answer, and 1 mark for an unanswered question.
