Intelligence Test Online Preparation 2026
Welcome to Pakistan’s #1 Intelligence Test Preparation Portal. Whether you are applying for Pak Army (PMA/Soldier), Navy (PN Cadet/Marine), PAF (GDP/Aero), or appearing for the ISSB, the first barrier you face is the Intelligence Test.
This test is designed to assess your IQ, decision-making speed, and mental alertness. In 2026, all Armed Forces initial tests are conducted on computers (E-Testing). If you fail this section, you are rejected immediately and cannot attempt the Academic test.

What is the Intelligence Test Pattern (2026)?
The test is divided into two distinct parts. You must pass both to qualify.
| Test Type | Total Questions | Time Allowed | Difficulty Level |
| Verbal Intelligence | 80 – 90 MCQs | 30 Minutes | Medium |
| Non-Verbal Intelligence | 60 – 64 MCQs | 30 Minutes | Easy / Visual |
There is usually No Negative Marking in Initial Tests. However, speed is the key factor. You have approx 20 seconds per question.

Verbal Intelligence Test (Logic & Words)
This section checks your ability to reason using concepts expressed in words. It is NOT an English test; it is a Logic test.
Key Syllabus Topics (2026):
Number Series: (e.g., 2, 4, 8, 16, ? -> 32)
Coding-Decoding: (e.g., If DOOR is 4559, what is ROOF?)
Word Analogy: (e.g., Doctor is to Medicine as Teacher is to… Education)
Direction Sense: (e.g., A man walks 5km North, turns Left…)
Days & Dates: (e.g., If yesterday was Sunday, what day is 4 days after tomorrow?)
Blood Relations: (e.g., A is the brother of B…)
Jumbled Words: (e.g., Rearrange “O L O C H S” -> SCHOOL)
Pro Tip: For Number Series, always check the difference between numbers first. For Coding, write A-Z with 1-26 numbers on your rough sheet before starting.
Non-Verbal Intelligence Test (Visuals)
This is a picture-based test. You must analyze shapes, patterns, and rotations. No reading is required.
Key Syllabus Topics (2026):
Series Completion: How the shape changes in the next box.
Analogy: (Figure A is to B as Figure C is to D).
Odd One Out: Identify the shape that doesn’t belong.
Mirror Images: How the object looks in a mirror (Left becomes Right).
Pattern Completion: Find the missing piece of the puzzle.
Pro Tip: Use the “Clockwise/Anti-Clockwise” rule. Track the movement of a single dot or line to solve complex rotation questions instantly.
Course-Specific Intelligence Guides
For Pak Army (PMA Long Course / LCC)
Focus: Heavy on Number Series and Direction questions.
Difficulty: High. Time management is crucial.
For Pak Navy (PN Cadet / Sailor)
Focus: Non-Verbal portion is often longer. Coding-Decoding is frequent.
Difficulty: Moderate.
For PAF (GD Pilot / CAE)
Focus: Spatial Intelligence (Rotation, Mirror Images) is vital for Pilots.
Difficulty: Very High (Due to short time limit).
For ISSB (Inter-Services Selection Board)
Focus: Mechanical Aptitude and Analytical Reasoning are added.
Format: Often conducted on paper (OMR) or Computers depending on the center.
Golden Tips to Pass in 2026
Skip & Return: If a question takes more than 30 seconds, SKIP it. The software allows you to return to unattempted questions (check your center’s specific software rules).
Mental Math: Calculators are NOT allowed. Practice basic addition/subtraction in your head.
Read Carefully: Watch out for “NOT”. (e.g., “Which of these is NOT a fruit?”).
Practice Daily: Intelligence is a skill, not knowledge. It improves with practice.
Army PAF Navy Intelligence Test Book Download for Preparation
By practicing diverse question types, honing problem-solving skills, and improving overall cognitive abilities, candidates can significantly improve their chances of success in the selection process. FAQs
Q: Is the test in Urdu or English?
A: The Verbal test is in English (simple vocabulary). The Non-Verbal test has no language (images only).
Q: What happens if I fail the Intelligence Test?
A: You will be declared “Failed” immediately, and the computer screen will close. You cannot proceed to the Academic/Subject test.
Q: How many passing marks are required?
A: The exact percentage is confidential, but it is generally estimated to be 50% to 60%.
Q: Is there Negative Marking in the Intelligence Test?
A: Generally, No. In the Initial Tests for Army, Navy, and PAF, there is no negative marking. You should attempt ALL questions, even if you have to guess the last few options when time is running out.
Q: Can I use a Calculator or Rough Paper?
A: Calculators are Strictly Prohibited. You must do calculations in your head. However, the center usually provides a Rough Sheet and a marker/pencil for solving complex series or direction questions.
Q: Do I need computer skills to take the test?
A: You only need basic knowledge of using a Mouse (Left Click). The interface is very simple—you just click the correct option and press “Next.” A demo is usually shown before the real test starts.
Q: Is “Math” included in the Intelligence Test?
A: Yes, but only basic Arithmetic Reasoning. This includes:
Number Series: (2, 4, 8, 16…)
Age Problems: (e.g., “Ali is twice as old as Ahmed…”)
Basic Math: (e.g., “What is 20% of 90?”)
You do not need advanced algebra or calculus for this section.
Q: Can I skip a question and come back to it later?
A: Yes. The E-Testing software allows you to skip a question. A “Navigation Bar” on the screen shows unattempted questions (usually in a different color), and you can click on them to solve them later if time permits.
Q: What is the difference between Initial and ISSB Intelligence Tests?
A: Initial Test: It is a “Screening” test. Questions are easier, but the time is very short. It filters out weak candidates.
ISSB Test: It is more detailed and includes Mechanical Aptitude tests. The difficulty level is slightly higher, focusing on your psychological stability and reasoning depth.
Q: Which book is best for the Intelligence Test preparation?
A: While online practice (like on GoTest) is best for speed, the Dogar Brothers or Bhatti Sons “Super Intelligence” books are popular for understanding the basic concepts and types of questions.
