What is the central idea of the poem “When I’m An Old Lad” by Joanne Bailey Baxter?

The poem “When I’m an Old Lady” is composed by Joanne Bailey Baxter. She has written the poem for her kids. Here, in the poem she recalls to her mind the mischievous acts of her children. They used to tease her by making mischief. She says that on becoming old, she will tease them with those childish pranks with which they used to tease her. She will make all sorts of mischievous deeds. She will make them upset by writing on the walls, jumping on furniture with shoes on, spilling milk on the table, throwing away her socks and playing in the mud the whole day long. After making her children angry, she will run away if possible or hide under the bed in order to save herself from their punishment.
