جواب: خواجہ باسط نے میر تقی میر اور مرزا سودا کے کلام کے بارے میں فرمایا کہ میر تقی میر کا کلام “آہ” ہے اور مرزا سودا کا کلام “واہ “ہے۔

جواب: شریف زادے کی غزل سن کر سودا نے اس کی بڑی تعریف کی اور کہا کہ میاں صاحب زادے جوان ہوتے نظر نہیں آتے۔ خدا کی قد رت کہ ان ہی دنوں میں وہ شریف زادہ جل کر مر گیا۔
سید انشا کے اصرار پر جرات نے یہ مصرع پڑھا؟
جواب: سید انشا کے اصرار پر جرات نے درج ذیل مصرع پڑھا، “اس زلف پہ پھبتی شب دیجور کی سوجھی “
خواجہ صاحب نے اپنے شاگرد سے کیا کہا کرتے تھے، جو اکثر بے روزگاری کی شکایت سے سفر کا ارادہ کیا کرتا تھے؟
جواب: خواجہ صاحب کے ایک شاگرد اکثر اپنی بے روز گاری کا رونا روتے رہتے تھے۔ اور چاہتے تھے کہ وہ کسی اور جگہ جاکر قسمت آزمایا کریں خواجہ حیدر علی آتش اُن سے کہتے تھے کہ میاں کہاں جاؤ گے؟ ہم جو کچھ دیر کے لیے آپس میں مل بیٹھتے ہیں اسی کو غنیمت سمجھو، اللہ تعالیٰ کچھ عطا کرتا ہے اس پر قناعت کرو اور صبر سے کام لو۔

جب حکیم احسن اللہ خان نے جلدی سے صاحب عالم کے آنے اور جانے پر تعجب کااظہار کیا تو ان کے منہ سے نکلا کہ ”اپنی خوشی سے آئے نہ اپنی خوشی سے چلے”۔
