مصنف کی ملاقات خواجہ عبدالرحیم صاحب سے ہوئی انہوں نے ہی مصنف کو علامہ اقبال کے وفادار ملازم علی بخش کے بارے میں بتایا اور ملا بھی دیا۔
علی بخش علامہ اقبال کا دیرینہ اور وفادار ملازم تھا اس کو حکومت نے ان کی خدمت کے سلسلے میں لائلپور میں ایم مربع زمین الاٹ کی۔
علی بخش کے دل میں یہ وہم تھا کہ سعید اب مصنف بھی دوسرے لوگوں کی طرح علامہ اقبال کی باتیں پوچھ پوچھ کر اس کا سرپکائے گا۔
ایک سنیما کے سامنے بھیڑ دیکھ کر علی بخش نے بڑا بڑاتے ہوئے کہا مسجدوں کے سامنے تو کبھی اتنا رش نظر نہیں آتا ڈاکٹر صاحب بھی یہی کہا کرتے تھے۔
شیخوپورہ سے گزرتے ہوئے علی بخش کو یاد آیا کہ ایک مسلمان تحصیل دار کی دعوت پر ڈاکٹر صاحب ایک باریہاں بھی آئے تھے۔
علی بخش علامہ اقبال کے دیرینہ اور وفادار ملازم تھا علی بخش نے علامہ اقبال کی طویل عرصہ خدمت انجام دی۔ ڈاکٹر صاحب کا بے انتہا احترام کرتا تھا دن رات ڈاکٹر صاحب کے ساتھ رہتا تھا کفایت شعار انسان تھا علامہ صاحب کے گھر کا حساب کتاب اپنے پاس ہونے کے باوجود بڑی کفایت شعاری سے کام لیتا تھا علامہ صاحب کا پیسہ ضائع کرنے سے اسے بڑی تکلیف ہوتی تھی۔ علامہ صاحب کی وفات کے بعد بھی وہ ان کے گھر کا خیال اسی تندہی اور جانفشانی سے رکھ رہا تھا جیسے کہ ان کی زندگی میں رکھتا تھا یہ بات اس کی ایمانداری اور نیک سیرت کی نشاندہی کرتی ہے وہ نہایت صاف گو اور شرمیلا انسان ہے۔
علی بخش بیان کرتا ہے جب ڈاکٹر صاحب میں دم دیا میں ا ن کے بالکل قریب تھا۔ صبح سویرے میں نے انہیں فروٹ سا لٹبلا یا اور کہا کہ اب آپ کی طبیعت بحال ہو جائے گی لیکن 05:10 پر ان کی آنکھوں میں ایک تیز تیز میلی میلی سی چمک ائیں اور زبان سے اللہ ہی اللہ نکلامیں نے جلدی سے ان کا سر اُٹھا کر اپنے سینے پر رکھ لیا رہنے دل جوڑ نے لگا لیکن وہ رخصت ہو گئے تھے۔
