GIK Graduate Scholarships and Assistantship Schemes 2023

GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology announces various GIK Graduate Scholarships opportunities to study a postgraduate at the institution. MS or Ph.D. GIK Graduate Scholarships and assistantships provide students with fully funded scholarships and a monthly stipend of up to PKR 75000 per month. Additionally, free accommodation in hostels is available as part of the program. MS, Ph.D. GIK Graduate Scholarships and assistantships offer across all disciplines based on merit. This merit listing compiles according to the student’s scores on the entry test and the interviews conduct at the Institute. These GIK Graduate Scholarships or assistantships include a full tuition fee waiver, free hostel accommodation, and a monthly stipend. Students selected under these programs are only required to pay the admission cost (non-refundable) and a refundable security deposit upon admission.

Applications accepted for GIK Graduate Assistantship and Scholarships and admissions must be received by December 12, 2023. The admission test will conduct on December 20, 2023. The graduate assistants expect to assist faculty in their teaching and research activities and be able to sign a bond of service with the Institute upon admission.

GIK Graduate Scholarships and Assistantship Schemes

Many graduate assistantships and scholarships are offered in all fields upon merit, based on your performance on the admission test and interview held through the Institute. These scholarships/assistantships include a full tuition fee waiver, free hostel accommodation, and a monthly stipend. Students selected under these schemes must pay only the admission cost (non-refundable) and a refundable security deposit upon admission. Program Highlights

1. The scholarship is only available for one year and does not guarantee continued support for the remainder of the student’s academic programs.
2. Each year, students will need to submit a new application. Their application will be evaluated along with the rest of the applications.
3. Each applicant must submit a completed application form along with any additional documents to prove their academic and financial standing.
4. The panel will ask applicants to attend an evaluation interview.
5. An online calendar will be made available with important milestone dates, highlighting deadlines for application submission, interview dates, and results from the announcement.
6. Because funding is limited, applicants are given priority in the selection process.

Who are Eligible to Apply?

These criteria are the only requirements for scholarships:

• A student who is unable to pay tuition because of financial constraints.
• Students’ academic performance should reflect their commitment to their academic program. Their CGPA must be at least 2.5.

Limited Funds

The GIKI Alumni Association Scholarship Program is designed to assist students in genuine need who cannot afford their education. The scholarship funds available to students are limited. It is important to make every effort to raise funds (loans, scholarships, etc.). Before applying for scholarships at the Alumni Association, it is important to have access to all sources. 

Who Can Apply for GIK Scholarships?

These students may apply for scholarships:

• Current students enrolled in GIK Institute’s undergraduate/bachelor degree programs.
• Doctoral students are not eligible for financial assistance.
• In my first year, financial assistance is not available. 1. and 2. semesters of the undergraduate degree program.
• Students in the second year of an academic program can only apply as undergraduates.

 What is Offered As a Scholarship?

• The scholarship is available to pay partial tuition fees and, in rare cases, the entire tuition fee. It is only for those applicants who fit into one of these two categories. 
• You can get an interest-free loan with no collateral and a flexible repayment structure.
• Without repayment, Zakat funding is available for eligible applicants (MUSTAHIQ).

MS GIK Assistant ship Schemes and Scholarships  

i. The Graduate assistantship Scheme (GA-1)

• The waiver of tuition fees for full tuition
• The PKR is A stipend of 20,000/- per month
• Free hostel accommodation

• SSC & HSSC (or Equivalent): Minimum 60% marks
• BS (Engg) A minimum CGPA of 2.70 (or 70 marks or 70

ii. The Graduate Assistantship Scheme (GA-2)

• The waiver of tuition fees for full tuition
• Amount: PKR: A stipend of 20,000/- per month
• Free Hostel accommodation

Qualification Criteria for Eligibility:

• SSC & HSSC (or Equivalent): Minimum 60% marks
• BS (Engg) The minimum requirement is a CGPA of 2.70 (or 70 marks or 70
• Two years of service as Lab Engineer/TA GIK Institute with annual performance as excellent or better.

iii. Partial Scholarship Scheme (PSS)

• Partially Tuition Fee Waiver (Annual tuition fee under PSS is the equivalent of Rs. 150,000/-)
• Free bachelor accommodations

General Eligibility

• SSC & HSSC (or Equivalent): Minimum 60% marks
• The BS (Engg) Minimum CGPA of 2.00 (or 60 marks

Note: Graduate assistants are required to help the faculty with research and teaching activities and to sign an agreement with the Institute at the time of their admission.

GIK Ph.D. Graduate Assistantship and Scholarship 

i. graduate assistantship Scheme (GA-3)

• Waiver of the Full Tuition Fee
• 75,000/- per month award
• Accommodation for bachelor at no cost

Qualification Criteria for Eligibility:

• SSC & HSSC (or Equivalent): Minimum 60% marks
• BS (Engg) The minimum requirement is a CGPA of 2.70 (or 70 marks
• MS/MPhil Minimum CGPA 3.00 or 75 marks
• Two years as Research Associate for two years at GIK Institute with an annual performance at the best or higher.

ii. graduate assistantship Scheme (GA-4)

• The waiver of tuition fees for full tuition
• A monthly stipend in the amount of Rs. 50,000/-
• Free bachelor accommodations

Qualification Criteria for Eligibility:

• SSC & HSSC (or Equivalent): Minimum 60% marks
• BS (Engg) The minimum requirement is a CGPA of 2.70 (or 70 marks or 70
• MS/MPhil Minimum CGPA of 3.00 or 75 marks

• MS/MPhil: Minimum CGPA of 3.00 (or 75 marks

Financial Aid/Loan

The Institute offers financial assistance for students who are financially needy or deserving. It includes partial or full tuition fees as well as interest-free loans. Around 40-50 students receive financial assistance each year. Students interested in financial assistance can submit a financial assistance form on the Institute website and their admission form. Please add Rs. 500 for the financial assistance processing fee. 5500 admission fee. The admission offer will also include information about financial assistance.

• Financial assistance applicants would be informed at admission if their request was granted. A student admitted on merit, but whose request for financial aid is denied will be admitted upon payment of the full tuition fee.

Does GIK offer Scholarships?  

GIK provides a wide range of fellowships and scholarships designed to help your family and pay for college. These are the types of aid to the poor that don’t have to be paid back.

The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (Urdu: Glm Hq khan and commonly referred to as GIKI) is a privately-owned research university located in Topi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. The campus is 400 acres (1.6 kilometers two) campus situated in the area of Swabi District.

Can you use a calculator on the GIK test?   

Tables of mathematical calculations and calculators are not permitted. Therefore you should enhance your mathematical skills in the course of your preparation. Part A mark with negative marks; consequently, you must be cautious. Every correct answer is worth a score of ‘+3’, and each incorrect answer will deduct “-1”. Questions that are not answered are marked as ‘0’.
