We are providing class-wise online test preparation resources to help students prepare effectively for their examinations and achieve higher marks. These online practice tests are designed to support students in understanding the exam pattern, improving their knowledge, and boosting their confidence before appearing in the annual examinations.

Before the establishment of Punjab Examination Commission (PEC), examinations for Grade 5 and Grade 8 were organized by the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI), Punjab. The Directorate used to provide guidelines and model question papers for schools, while the Executive District Officers (Education) were responsible for preparing examination papers according to the prescribed pattern and conducting the examinations in their respective districts.

Later, the Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) was established by the Government of Punjab to create a centralized system for evaluating students’ academic performance at the elementary level. PEC started its operations in 2005, and in 2006 it conducted the first province-wide Grade 8 examination. PEC worked as a statutory body under the Punjab Examination Commission Act XI of 2010, conducting standardized examinations for students of Grade 5 and Grade 8 across the province.

Recently, the examination system has been restructured and the responsibilities previously handled by PEC have been transferred to the Punjab Education Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTA). Now PECTA oversees the assessment system for elementary education and conducts Grade 8 examinations across all districts of Punjab.

PECTA develops examination papers and coordinates the assessment process for schools throughout the province. Every year, millions of students from both public and private schools in Punjab participate in these examinations, making it one of the largest academic assessments in the region. After the exams are completed, the authority compiles and announces the results for all districts online so that students can easily check their performance.
