Eligibility criteria for PMA Long Course

Gender: Male

Nationality: Citizens of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir / Gilgit-Baltistan.

Physical Standards:

  • Minimum Height: 5’- 4“ (162.5 cm)
  • Weight: As per the Body Mass Index

Education

  • Marks – FA / FSc
  • Minimum 60 % marks in FA/FSc and equivalent.
  • Candidates who secure 60% mks or above in BA / BSc, BA / BSc (Hons) and BBA / BPA, with 50% mks in FA / FSc are eligible for PMA Long Course.
  • For Serving Army Soldiers: 50 % marks in FA/FSc and equivalent.

If any candidate either girl or a boy wants to join Pakistan Army, Navy, or Air Force. He/She has to pass a test known as ISSB Initial Test. This test is held before ISSB or another testing procedure. Along with fulfilling these basic eligibility requirements, candidates will also have to clear a written test, physical test, and interview in order to become eligible for joining Pakistan Army as a regular commission through a 149 PMA long course. Written tests will be held as per the announced schedule and they will be based on multiple choice questions from English, Pak Studies, Maths, Islamiat, and General Knowledge preparation ISSB test online. Candidates who will clear the written exam will appear in the physical test.

Physical Test:

  • 1.6 Km Run – 8 ½ minutes
  • Push Ups – 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Sit Ups – 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Chin Ups – 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
  • Ditch Crossing – 7’.4” x 7’.4” with a depth of 4’

Interview:
The candidate who will survive in the previous selection process will then appear in the final interview. The successful candidates in the interview held at AS&RC will be sort listed for ISSB Test. The successful candidates will be informed about the ISSB Test via website and call letter.

  6. i got 58% in bsc and 52% in fsc ….i’m the citizen of bagh azad kashmir and i wanna apply commission in pak army …. but i saw that 60% required in bsc and i’m 2% away from the criteria so what can i do ?????……….is there anything else

    1. To my knowlage people of Azad Kashmir can get 5-10% less in their FSC. But do check this info because I’m not sure.
