National defence University NTS GAT Test 2024

National Defence University NDU Islamabad invites applications from all suitable individuals interested in seeking admission in any BS, MSC, or M.Phil programs offered by the institute. For this purpose, National Defence University held National Testing Service to receive the application from interested and eligible candidates and held NTS GAT Test 2024 for admission. GAT is the short form of the Graduate Assessment Test. Two types of GAT. The first is GAT General Test while the second is GAT Subject Test. The validity period of both tests has remained for 2 years.

Those students who want to apply for GAT General must have 16 years of education. Graduate Assessment Test General is conducted for the purpose of admissions in MS/M.Phil programs. While the GAT Subject is for Ph.D programs. Furthermore, GAT is organize for the purpose to analyze the Quantitative as well as analytical skills of the students. GAT general is the test administered by NTS for the admission in all MS/M.Phil classes in all Pakistan Universities Colleges and Research Institute. It is compulsory for all applicants to qualify GAT prior to they apply for admission to the university for M. Phi. or MS classes. The minimum qualifying score of GAT is 50.

GAT Tests consist of MCQs. There are different sections in this test. The test is to be answered on computer readable answer sheet (OMR Sheet) by shading the circle for correct option for each MCQ. There is no NEGATIVE MARKING in test.

Different types of questions are asked in the GAT test that includes Antonyms, Analogies, Sentence Completions, Critical Reading, Quantitative Comparisons, Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and subject related MCQs.

There are total 100 MCQs in each particular category of test means each GAT test comprise of 100 MCQs and the total time allowed for each category is 2 hours that is 120 minutes. The passing marks are 50 percent in all categories of GAT General Test. Here is given below the pattern distribution of the in the form of table:
