The University of Engineering and Technology Mardan has announced the merit list of the incoming students. The merit list comprises of top students from across the country who have scored well in their respective exams.

Among the categories, boys occupy the top positions in all except one; girls are leading in all except one. In science and mathematics, girls are leading with 74% and 78%, respectively. General category, boys have a majority with 54%. The computer applications and information technology, girls occupy a strong position with 85%. They also hold a commanding lead in physics (68%), chemistry (56%), biology (47%) and geography (46%).

(a) 10% of the SSC Exam’s total scores are weighted.

(c) A 40% weighting of the entrance test scores.
The following criteria will be used to establish the merit of the BS in Computer Sciences and BS in English degrees:
(A) The SSC Exam has a 30% weighting in percentage points.
(b) 70% of the percentage marks from Intermediate or comparable examinations (adjusted scores) are weighted.

When a candidate who is Hafiz-Quran presents the proper paperwork provided by Wifaqul Madaris (or by any other recognized HEC-accredited board) they are given an extra point out of 20.
