Urdu:

اتوار کا دن تھا، ٹھنڈی ہوا چل رہی تھی۔ امجد صبح سویرے اٹھ گیا۔ اس نے اٹھ کر اپنی دو بہنوں سے کہا، “آج چھٹی ہے، چلو سیر کو چلیں۔” تینوں نے جلدی جلدی کپڑے بدلے اور باغ کی طرف چل پڑے۔ راستے میں امجد نے کہا، “چلو دوڑ لگائیں۔”

English:

It was Sunday. It was blowing cool. Amjad woke up early in the morning. He got up and told his two sisters and said, “Today is a holiday. Let us go away for a walk!” All three of them changed their clothes hastily and walked towards the garden. On the way Amjad said, “Let us run”.

Urdu:

میرے گھر کے قریب ایک مسجد ہے۔ اسے ایک نیک آدمی نے بنوایا تھا۔ یہ بہت خوبصورت ہے۔ یہ سرخ پتھر کی بنی ہوئی ہے۔ اس کے صحن میں ایک حوض ہے۔ یہ ہمیشہ پانی سے بھرا رہتا ہے۔ اس میں بہت سی سرخی مائل رنگتیں ہیں۔ میں یہاں پانچ وقت نماز پڑھتا ہوں۔

English:

There is a mosque near my house. It was built by a pious man. It is very beautiful. It is built with red stone. There is a pond in its yard. It always remains filled with water. There are many red colours in it. I offer my prayers five times here.

میں صبح سویرے اٹھتا ہوں۔ ہاتھ منہ دھو کر نماز پڑھتا ہوں اور باغ میں سیر کو جاتا ہوں۔ باغ میں دوسرے لوگ بھی سیر کرتے نظر آتے ہیں۔ وہاں کچھ دیر ورزش کرتا ہوں اور سیدھا گھر واپس آتا ہوں۔ ناشتہ کر کے سکول جاتا ہوں۔

English:

I get up early in the morning. After washing hands and face I offer my prayers and then go to the garden for a walk. In the garden, other people also seem to be strolling. There, I exercise for a while and then come back straight to home. After taking breakfast, I go to school.

لاہور صوبہ پنجاب کا دارالحکومت ہے۔ یہ ایک بہت پرانا شہر ہے۔ اس میں بہت سی تاریخی عمارتیں ہیں۔ یہ تعلیم کا ایک بہت بڑا مرکز ہے۔ ہمارے قومی شاعر علامہ اقبال کا مزار اسی شہر میں بادشاہی مسجد کے قریب ہے۔

English:

Lahore is the capital of Punjab. It is a very old city. There are many historical buildings in it. It is a very big center of education. The tomb of our national poet Allama Iqbal is in this city near the Badshahi mosque.

حمید میرا دوست ہے۔ وہ آٹھویں جماعت میں پڑھتا ہے۔ وہ اور میں ایک ہی بس میں سکول جاتے ہیں۔ وہ بہت محنت کرتا ہے۔ استاد اس کی بہت تعریف کرتا ہے۔ اس نے بہت سے انعامات حاصل کیے ہیں اور اس کے والدین اس پر فخر کرتے ہیں۔

English:

Hameed is my friend. He studies in class eight. He and I go to school in the same bus. He works very hard. The teacher praises him a lot. He has got many prizes and his parents are proud of him.

English:

I live in Lahore. My father is a civil servant. I get up early in the morning. After washing hands and face I offer my prayers. Then I take breakfast and go to school. I do my work whole-heartedly. I always get first.

میں گوجرانوالہ میں رہتا ہوں۔ میرے والد سرکاری ملازم ہیں۔ میں صبح سویرے اٹھتا ہوں۔ ہاتھ منہ دھو کر نماز پڑھتا ہوں۔ پھر ناشتہ کرتا ہوں اور سکول جاتا ہوں۔ ٹکٹیں جمع کرنا میرا شوق ہے۔ میں اپنا کام دل لگا کر کرتا ہوں۔ میں ہمیشہ جماعت میں پہلی پوزیشن حاصل کرتا ہوں۔ میں ہاکی ٹیم کا کپتان ہوں۔ میں اپنے اساتذہ کی عزت کرتا ہوں۔

English:

I live in Gujranwala. My father is a civil servant. I get up early in the morning. After washing hands and face I offer my prayers. Then I take breakfast and go to school. Ticket collection is my hobby. I do my work whole-heartedly. I always get first position in the class. I am captain of the Hockey team. I respect my teachers.

ہمارے ملک کا نام پاکستان ہے۔ اس کی زمینیں زرخیز ہیں۔ اس میں پانچ دریا بہتے ہیں۔ یہ زمین کو سیراب کرتے ہیں۔ میں ایک سچا پاکستانی ہوں۔ مجھے اپنے ملک سے بہت محبت ہے۔ پاکستان کے لوگ بہادر اور محنتی ہیں۔ ہم اپنے ملک کے لئے جان قربان کرنے کو تیار ہیں۔ ہم بڑے ہو کر اپنے وطن کا نام روشن کریں گے۔

English:

The name of our country is Pakistan. Its lands are fertile. Five rivers flow in it. They irrigate the land. I am a true Pakistani. I love my country very much. The people of Pakistan are brave and hardworking. We are ready to sacrifice our lives for the country. We shall illuminate the name of our motherland when we grow up.

والدین کا احترام کرنا ہمارا قومی فرض ہے۔ انہوں نے ہماری خاطر ہر قسم کی مشکلات برداشت کی ہیں۔ وہ ہمیشہ یہ چاہتے ہیں کہ ان کے بچے دنیا میں ترقی کریں۔ ہمارا فرض ہے کہ ہم ان کی خدمت کریں اور دل لگا کر محنت کریں۔ جو بچے اپنے والدین کی عزت نہیں کرتے وہ زندگی میں کامیاب نہیں ہوتے۔

English:

To respect the parents is our moral duty. They bear hardships of every kind for us. They always wish that their children should flourish in the world. It is our duty to facilitate them and work whole-heartedly. The children who do not respect their parents do not succeed in life.

لاہور ایک پرانا تاریخی شہر ہے۔ یہ صوبہ پنجاب کا دارالحکومت ہے۔ بادشاہی مسجد اور لاہور قلعہ اس کی تاریخی عمارتیں ہیں۔ یادگارِ پاکستان اقبال پارک میں بنائی گئی ہے۔ یہ شہر دنیا بھر میں مشہور ہے۔ یہ دریائے راوی کے کنارے واقع ہے۔ انارکلی اس کا مشہور بازار ہے۔ مجھے یہ شہر بہت پسند ہے۔

English:

Lahore is an old historical city. It is the capital of the province of Punjab. Badshahi Mosque and the Lahore Fort are its historical buildings. Yadgar-e-Pakistan has been erected here in Iqbal Park. This city is famous all over the world. This city is situated on the bank of river Ravi. Anarkali is its famous bazaar. I like this city very much.

ایک دفعہ کچھ عیسائی حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ملنے آئے۔ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں مسجد میں ٹھہرنے دیا۔ رات کو انہوں نے اپنی عبادت اپنے طریقے سے کرنے کے لئے کہیں اور جانے کی اجازت مانگی۔ حضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، “یہی اپنی عبادت کرو، مسجد اللہ کی عبادت کی جگہ ہے۔”

English:

Once some Christians came to see our Holy Prophet (PBUH). The Holy Prophet (PBUH) let them stay in the mosque. At night they begged to go somewhere to offer their prayers according to their own method. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “Offer your prayers here, the mosque is the place to worship God”.

کچھ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم خدا کو دیکھ نہیں سکتے اس لیے اس پر ایمان نہیں لا سکتے۔ یہ غلط ہے۔ ہم بہت سی چیزیں نہیں دیکھ سکتے لیکن ان کے وجود کو مانتے ہیں۔ ہم ہوا کو دیکھ نہیں سکتے لیکن ہم اس کے وجود کو محسوس کرتے ہیں۔ ہم اللہ کو اس کی مخلوق کے ذریعے پہچانتے ہیں۔

English:

Lahore is an old city. There is a fort in it. In this city Allama Iqbal used to live. I have seen the house where Allama Iqbal used to live. There are many historical buildings in this city. This city is called the Heart of Punjab. The Ravi flows near it.

علی میرا دوست ہے۔ وہ ایک کسان کا بیٹا ہے۔ علی میرا ہم جماعت ہے۔ ہم آپس میں نہیں لڑتے۔ ہم اکٹھے سیر کو جاتے ہیں۔ کتابیں پڑھنا ہمارا شوق ہے۔ علی ڈاکٹر بننا چاہتا ہے۔ ہم دونوں قائداعظم کو چاہتے ہیں۔

English:

Ali is my friend. He is the son of a farmer. Ali is my class fellow. We do not quarrel with each other. We go for the walk together. Reading books is our hobby. Ali wants to become a doctor. We both like Quaid-e-Azam.

کسی گاؤں میں ایک غریب لڑکا رہتا تھا۔ اس کے والد کا بچپن میں ہی انتقال ہو گیا تھا۔ اس کی والدہ نے اس کی پرورش کی۔ وہ بہت محنتی تھا۔ وہ شہر چلا گیا۔ اس نے دن رات محنت کی اور اعلیٰ تعلیم حاصل کرنے کے بعد اچھی نوکری حاصل کر لی۔ اس نے اپنی والدہ کی بہت خدمت کی۔

English:

In a certain village there lived a poor boy. His father died in his childhood. His mother brought him up. He was very hard working. He went to the city. He worked day and night and finally after getting higher education he got a good job. He served his mother very much.

Lahore is an old city. There is an historical fort in this city. The river Ravi flows near this city. There are many other historical buildings in this city. It is the capital of Punjab. It is called the heart of Pakistan. I live in this city.

اکبر اور میں ایک ہی جماعت میں پڑھتے ہیں۔ وہ میرا پڑوسی ہے۔ ہم ایک دوسرے سے بہت محبت کرتے ہیں۔ ہمیں کرکٹ کھیلنے کا شوق ہے۔ اکبر ایک اچھا بیٹسمین ہے۔ ہم نے بہت سے میچ کھیلے ہیں۔ ہم اپنے سکول کی کرکٹ ٹیم کے اہم کھلاڑی ہیں۔

English:

Akbar and I study in the same class. He is my neighbour. We love each other very much. We are fond of playing Cricket. Akbar is a very good batsman. We have played many matches. We are important members of our school cricket team.

پاکستان میرا پیارا ملک ہے۔ اس میں چار صوبے ہیں۔ اس میں پانچ بڑے دریا بہتے ہیں۔ مجھے اپنے ملک سے محبت ہے۔ اس کے رہنے والے مسلمان ہیں۔ پاکستانی لوگ بہادر اور محنتی ہیں۔ ہمارا ملک ایک باغ کی طرح ہے۔ اس کی حفاظت کرنا ہمارا فرض ہے۔

English:

Pakistan is my dear country. It consists of four provinces. Five major rivers flow in it. I love my country. Its inhabitants are Muslims. Pakistanis are very brave and hardworking. Our country is like a garden. It is our duty to protect it.

اسلم ایک بہادر لڑکا ہے۔ وہ آٹھویں جماعت میں پڑھتا ہے۔ وہ صبح سویرے اٹھتا ہے۔ نہانے کے بعد نماز پڑھتا ہے۔ وہ سیر کو بھی جاتا ہے۔ اسلم روزانہ سکول جاتا ہے۔ وہ کبھی سکول کے لیے لیٹ نہیں ہوتا۔ اس کے بہت سے دوست ہیں۔ وہ اپنے دوستوں کے ساتھ کھیلتا ہے۔ وہ ہمیشہ پہلی یا دوسری پوزیشن لیتا ہے۔

English:

Aslam is a brave boy. He studies in class eighth. He gets up early in the morning. After taking a bath, he offers his prayers. He goes for a walk too. Aslam goes to school every day. He does not get late for the school. He has many friends. He plays with his friends. He always gets first or second position in the class.

I have many friends. Akram is my best friend. We both study in class eighth. Akram is the monitor of the class. He is a hard working boy. He always gets some position in the class. He helps his friends. All teachers like him. We play together in the evening.
