My Favourite Book

For 8th Class Student 

I love reading books. Books are my best friends. I enjoy reading books on different topics, but the book I love the most is the Holy Quran. It is the holy book of Islam and was revealed to our last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) more than 1300 years ago.

The Holy Quran is written in the Arabic language. It has 30 parts (Paras), 114 Surahs, and 6666 verses. The first Surah is Surah Al-Fatiha, and the last one is Surah Al-Nas. It was revealed over 24 years.

The main subject of the Quran is human life. It teaches us how to live a good life. It is a complete code of life. The Quran explains everything in a simple and clear way.

There are many interesting stories in the Quran from the past. These stories give us good lessons. That is why people enjoy reading it again and again. We never get bored while reading it. The Holy Quran is a very special and sacred book, and it is my favourite book.

Books are the treasure-houses of knowledge and wisdom, and they guide us through every stage of life. Among the many books I have read, my favourite is the Holy Quran, the sacred book of Islam. It was revealed to the last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), over 1400 years ago.

The Holy Quran is in the Arabic language. It is divided into 30 parts, containing 114 Surahs and 6666 verses. The first Surah is Al-Fatiha, and the last is Al-Nas. It was revealed over a period of 23 years, addressing various aspects of human life.

The Quran is a complete code of life. It guides mankind in matters of faith, morality, social justice, and personal conduct. It calls upon us to worship Allah alone, be honest, speak the truth, and help others. It also encourages us to seek knowledge and reflect upon the wonders of nature.

The Holy Quran contains stories of prophets such as Hazrat Musa (AS), Hazrat Isa (AS), and Hazrat Yusuf (AS), which are full of lessons on patience, courage, and faith. Each time I read it, I learn something new.

For me, the Holy Quran is not just a book but a source of light, guidance, and peace. It is my constant companion, and that is why it is my favourite book.

For 11th Class Student 

Books have been described as “keys to wisdom’s treasure-house,” and indeed, the right book can transform a person’s life. Among all the books I have encountered, the one I hold in the highest esteem is the Holy Quran—the divine scripture of Islam and the eternal word of Allah. Revealed to the last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), over fourteen centuries ago, it continues to guide humanity with unmatched clarity and depth.

The Holy Quran is in classical Arabic and is composed of 30 parts (Paras), 114 chapters (Surahs), and over six thousand verses. The first chapter, Al-Fatiha, serves as an opening prayer, while the final chapter, Al-Nas, seeks refuge in Allah from all evil. Revealed over a span of 23 years, its verses address all aspects of human existence—spiritual, moral, social, and legal.

What makes the Quran unique is its universality. It transcends time and place, offering guidance to people of every era. It provides principles for justice, compassion, charity, honesty, and perseverance. Its scientific allusions, moral teachings, and appeals to reason make it not only a religious guide but also a source of intellectual inspiration.

Within its pages are narratives of past prophets—Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), Hazrat Musa (AS), Hazrat Yusuf (AS)—that illustrate timeless virtues such as patience, courage, and unwavering faith. The Quran invites reflection, urging readers to ponder over creation, the purpose of life, and the hereafter.

For me, reading the Holy Quran is both a spiritual and intellectual experience. It enlightens my heart, strengthens my character, and gives me direction in life. This divine book is my constant guide and the dearest to me, making it my favourite book beyond comparison.
