For 8th Class Student
Once there was a crow. He was very thirsty and flew here and there to find water. He searched a lot but could not find any. At last, he saw a pot in a garden. There was a little water in it, but his beak could not reach it. He looked around and saw some small stones nearby. He picked up the stones one by one and dropped them into the pot. Slowly, the water came up. The crow drank the water and flew away happily.

For 9th Class Student
One hot summer day, a thirsty crow searched the fields and gardens for water. He flew from place to place, but his search seemed hopeless. Finally, he spotted a clay pot lying in a garden.
He quickly flew to it and looked inside. There was a small amount of water at the bottom, but it was too low for his beak to reach. The clever crow paused to think. Soon, he noticed some pebbles lying nearby. Picking them up one by one, he dropped them into the pot. With each pebble, the water level rose higher.
At last, the water was within his reach. He drank deeply and flew away, refreshed and happy.
Moral: Where there is a will, there is a way.
For 11th Class Student
One scorching afternoon, a crow was overcome with thirst. He flew across fields, trees, and rooftops, desperately seeking water, yet none could be found. Just as exhaustion was setting in, his eyes fell upon a clay pot resting in a garden.
Hopeful, he perched on its rim and peered inside. There was water, but only a small quantity settled deep at the bottom—far beyond the reach of his beak. For a moment, he felt disheartened. Then, his sharp mind began to work. Spotting a pile of small stones nearby, he seized them one by one, dropping each carefully into the pot. Slowly, the water level began to rise.
Finally, the water reached the brim. The crow drank to his fill, his thirst quenched, and flew away with renewed strength.
Moral: Determination and ingenuity can overcome the greatest difficulties.
