The PEEF Scholarships for Minority Students 2024 is a program conducted by the Government of Punjab to entrenched opportunities for brilliant boys and girls students. Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has announced special quota scholarships for Intermediate, Graduation, and master-level studies in 2024. Students who have passed matric or inter exams in 2021 and belong to the minority can apply for PEEF Scholarships for Minority Students 2024. The last date to apply is 23 March 2024.

The PEEF Quota scholarship is available to Undergraduate, Intermediate, and master’s level students. Anyone interested in applying for this scholarship program is encouraged to apply by March 31, 2024.

The first time was started in 2008 by its chairman Chief Minister Of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. It gives scholarships to brilliant boys and girls students which can not afford fees. Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) announced the special Quota scholarship for Intermediate, Graduate, and Master-level students. Both males and females are eligible candidates who can apply for this scholarship. Minorities and disabled students can also apply for this quota through the proper channel.

PEEF Scholarships for Minority Students 2024

Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) has made announcements about special quotas for intermediate, graduation, and master-level studies in 2024. Students who have completed matric or inter examinations in the preceding year and fall into any of the following categories are eligible to apply to be considered for PEEF Special quota scholarships 2024. Application for the PEEF scholarship must be made on or before March 31st, 2024. Students who have passed their exams in PBTE/TEVTA aren’t qualified to apply for this award. The applicants can also apply using the photocopies on the application.

Categories of PEEF Scholarships for Minority Students 2024

The Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) scholarships have been classified into two (2) major categories and are awarded for four (4) levels of education. 

Scholarship Category:

• Outreach Scholarship
• Special Quota Scholarship

Levels of Education:

• Intermediate
• Graduation
• Masters

Eligibility Criteria to Apply

The eligibility Criteria for the scholarship of the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) are below if you are a brilliant student and want to apply for Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF) then read the following eligibility criteria

Criteria for intermediate and Graduate Level:

• Students who have a Domicile in any district of Punjab.
• Students who have passed the SSC in 2024 with first Division or Grade B are eligible to apply with 60% marks.
• Students whose parents’ income is Rs 35,000/- or less are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
• The students who are registered in educational institutions for intermediate or graduation.

Criteria for Master Level:

• Students who have a Domicile in any district of Punjab.
• Students who have passed the graduation exam with 60% marks with a 2.5 CGPA.
• Students whose parents’ income is Rs 40,000/- or less are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
• The students must not be enrolled for any other scholarship.

Ineligibility

The following students aren’t qualified to receive PEEF Master’s-level scholarships:

1. Students who have passed or obtained MA or MSc MS or MPhil, etc. Degree
2. Students who improve their marks or passed their examinations in supplementary sessions
3. Candidates who passed the exam using grace points (*)
4. Any other scholarship for education in the current academic year
5. Beneficiaries of the Prime Minister Fee or other fee reimbursement scheme or program

How To Apply for PEEF Scholarships for Minority Students 2024

The PEEF has assigned scholarships to all partner universities. The responsibility of advertisement/intimation, shortlisting & selection of students rests with the university. Students who are interested in applying for scholarships can download the application for scholarships from the PEEF website and send the completed scholarship application form to the university of their choice. The application forms for scholarship applications are also available from the office for financial aid of each university.

The forms for scholarship applications must be sent to the designated universities’ offices. Applications sent directly to PEEF are not accepted.

• Attach attested copies of educational certificates along with recent photographs.
• The students who are applying in Disable Quota must attach the attested copy of the Disable certificate.
• Students who are applying for Government Employees Quota should attach the father’s pay Slip.
• Incomplete applications should be rejected.
• Applications after due dates will not be acceptable.

Disbursement of Scholarship Stipends

• The PEEF award stipends for scholarships are paid out on a biannual basis.
• The next scholarship installment will be issued after receipt of acknowledgment of the previous payment and after the submission of satisfactory academic results and an evaluation report by the awarding university or institution.

Duration of the Scholarships

The PEEF awards scholarships until the conclusion of the degree program the student is studying in. If the student fails to keep the required/satisfactory academic level or is found to be involved in any disciplinary incident; the university or the PEEF reserves the right to terminate the award.

Process For the Award of Scholarships

Intermediate and Graduation Level:

1. Newspaper advertisements are released and applicants are asked to submit applications by students to apply online or submit hard copies through postal services prior to the due date.
2. The applications are scrutinized and students who are eligible are selected against the scholarships that are allocated to every district, minority category, and gender
3. The letters of invitation and applications are sent to the addresses of residence of selected students.
4. Students who have been selected fill out and send back the application forms for the scholarship to PEEF
5. The forms received are examined and validated
6. The gender, category and district specific merit lists are made to award scholarships.
7. The scholarships are granted through the educational institutions in which PEEF scholars are currently
8. Students who improve their marks or had passed an exam in a additional session OR had the test passed without scores of grace (*) are not eligible for scholarship.

Master’s Level

The students should be able to:

1. Punjab domicile
2. Attained at minimum 60 marks or at least a minimal CGPA 2.5 in BA/BSc/BCOMor BS/BBA. during the annual exam held over these three consecutive years within Punjab.
3. Successfully enrolled as a fulltime student for the current year at the partner university
4. Students who are enrolled in the fall/spring session (where appropriate) and morning/afternoon or evening sessions (where appropriate) are also eligible to be considered for PEEF Masters’ scholarships.
