The Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi had offered admissions in M.Phil and Ph.D programs earlier this year for which hundreds of interested individuals had submitted application forms. In order to become eligible for admission in these offered degree programs, the candidates are required to pass a GAT-General and GAT-Subject conducted by National Testing Service (NTS) especially for admission in Arid Agriculture University, Murree Road, Rawalpindi. The Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi (AAUR) was established in 1970 by the government of Punjab with the aim of development of rain-fed agriculture. It was initially established as an agricultural college but due to its excellent performance, AAUR was upgraded to the level of university in 1994 and now it has become the 2nd top Agriculture/Veterinary category and 7th overall university as per the ranking of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).

At the moment, the university offers admission in a number of Bachelor, Master and h.D degree programs in various disciplines such as Pure Sciences, Computer Sciences, Food Science & Technology, Social Sciences, Veterinary & Animal Sciences and Agriculture.

• NTS GAT – Subject and GAT – General Test Date: Announce Soon

As per announced schedule, the special GAT – Subject and GAT – General tests will be held. The individuals who want to seek admission in Ph,D program will have to appear in GAT – Subject while the candidates applying for M.Phil degree programmes, are required to appear in GAT – General test. Only those individuals will be considered eligible for admission who will clear their required NTS test.

The interested candidates are not required to submit any separate application form for appearing in these special test as the information provided over the university’s main application form for admission will be used to hold the GAT tests. The candidates are only required to download fee deposit slip online from National Testing Service (NTS) website and attach with the application form at the time of submission after depositing the test fee in any online branch of specified banks.

The applicants who have already passed the Gat – Subject and GAT – General tests will minimum 60% and 50% marks respectively and hold a valid result card, are not required to appear in Special GAT tests. They can simply attach the copy of GAT result card with their application form and will be considered eligible for admission in Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi M.Phil and Ph.D programs.
