The United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) has announced the Teaching Excellence & Achievement Program (TEA) through which, the secondary-level teachers of English subject from government schools will be given opportunities to develop expertise in their subject area, increase their knowledge and enhance teaching skills. The Teaching Excellence & Achievement Program will be held for 6-weeks in United States during Spring and it will be focused towards developing various skills of the participants including lesson planning skills, teaching strategies and assessment skills. Participants will also gain a 40-hour field experience at a local secondary school.

Eligibility of USEFP Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program 2024

In order to become eligible for the USEFP Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program, all interested candidates are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

• Full time secondary level English teacher in government school.
• Applicant must be a government school teacher who is currently teaching class 6-10.
• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Pakistan having 3 years of English teaching.
• Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English.
• Applicant must have plans to continue teaching for minimum 2 more years after participating in the program.
• Having strong English language skills.
• Principle and teachers trainers are also eligible to apply if they are secondary level English teacher.

Ineligibility 

1. Applicants who hold both Pakistani and American citizenship
2. Those who have a parent, spouse, fiancé, or child over the age of 18 who is a citizen or long-term resident of the United States
3. Employees of the Fulbright Foundation or the U.S. Department of State, as well as their partners, parents, siblings, children, and fiancé
4. Members of the TEA program

Only those candidates who get the shortlist will be required to take the TOEFL exam for free.
