The two divisions have different uniforms and commands. The Main Flag hosting and lowering take place daily at Wagah and Ganda Singh Wala.

The primary responsibility of Pakistan Rangers is to protect Pakistan’s Eastern Borders. However, they also assist the Government with Internal Security Duty when required. The Rangers actively participate in securing important monuments and safeguarding national assets in various cities across Pakistan. Their contribution to maintaining law and order in the country is commendable, especially in the border areas where they ensure the protection of personnel and property. Individuals who aspire to serve their country through the Rangers can apply for these vacant positions based on their respective geographical areas.
The main functions of Pakistan Rangers include organizing village defense committees in the border areas, preventing smuggling, collecting intelligence in the border areas, coordinating with the police and other city agencies to prevent and detect smuggling, assisting the police in preventing and detecting crimes in the border areas, and reinforcing the police to maintain law and order whenever necessary.
