Now you can join the Pakistan Army as Captain through Short Service Regular Commission (SSRC)- Entry 2024. In order to do so, the important guidelines for all the interested individuals have been issued by the official authority now and we will be discussing them one by one in detail below.

Let’s start with the categories of selection and the eligibility requirements for them.

General Duty Medical Officer (GDMOs) Male as Captain

• Gender: Male/Female
• Marital Status: Married/ Unmarried
• Nationality: Pakistani
• Age: Maximum 28 years relaxable up to 35 years
• Qualification: MBBS or equivalent qualification
• Minimum Height: 5’ 4”
• Weight: As per Body Mass Index

Pakistan Temporary Commission (PTC) Officers Male as Captain

• Gender: Male
• Marital Status: Married/ Unmarried
• Nationality: Pakistani
• Age: Maximum 28 years relaxable up to 35 years
• Qualification: MBBS or equivalent qualification
• Minimum Height: 5’ 4”
• Weight: As per Body Mass Index

All the interested individuals who meet this criterion can next move towards the step of getting themselves registered to take part in the further selection process. For this, two methods have been made available and candidates can use either one as per their ease. One is the traditional method of visiting the nearest AS&RCs for registration while the second is online through the official recruitment website of the Pakistan Army. The registration of candidates through both methods will begin now till the last date mention above.

With the completion of registrations, the further selection procedure will begin which consists of preliminary tests. These preliminary tests include written/ intelligence/ personality tests and medical tests which will be conducted within two days which are.

Clearing these preliminary tests is compulsory for all the applicants and anyone failing to do so will be eliminated from the selection process immediately. The individuals who will pass them will then be called at the AS&RCs for the interview by GHQ Selection Board at Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. Medical examination of recommended candidates will be carried out at nearby CMHs and then the final selections will be made based upon the overall performance of candidates.

Once the final selection of the candidates will be made, they will have to undergo 22 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at AMC School & Centre Abbottabad for GMOs. While for PTC Officers, the Basic Military Training duration is 12 weeks at AMC School & Centre Abbottabad. For the Short Service Regular Commission (SSRC) the selected will sign a bond to serve the Pakistan Army for 5 years while for Pakistan Temporary Commission (PTC), the contract duration is 2 years.
