University declares the date sheet for BA/BSc and B.Com in the month of March a while for MA/MSc examinations the university issued the date sheet in July or August. Since 1975, Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is functioning as commanding body for the organization of graduate and master level examinations in different faculties. IUB consists of two sub campuses in Rahim Yar Khan Bahawalnagar to provide quality education to the students of Bahawalpur and its jurisdiction as well. The university offers admission in various science and arts fields. Every year thousands of students get admission in regular and private programs of BA/BSc, B.Com, MA/MSc and M.Com examination.

The University started at the Abbasia and Khawaja Fareed campuses with ten departments. Later, 1280 acres of land was allotted to the University on Hasilpur Road about eight kilometers away from the city centre which became the Baghdad-ul-Jadeed campus. IUB added two more campuses in 2005 One covering eastern side of Bahawalpur Division (in Bahawalnagar known as IUB Bahawalnagar Campus) and the other one to cover western side of Bahawalpur Division (in Rahim Yar Khan known as IUB – Rahim Yar Khan Campus or IUB – RYK Campus).
