Eligibility Criteria for NUST Entry Test NET-2 Registration Schedule 2024

For admission to NUST, eligibility criteria will be strictly followed. No deviation in this regard will be allowed.

Engineering:

  • FSc (Pre-Engineering group) from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education or an equivalent qualification like an Overseas High School Certificate / British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) / International Baccalaureate / Advanced Placement with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply.
  • To apply for Admission O&A Level candidates or non-FSc stream candidates need to obtain equivalence certificates from Inter Boards Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Pakistan.
  • Candidates with FSc/equivalence qualifications with a combination of Physics, Mathematics Computer Studies or Computer Science can only apply for Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in Matric and FSc / Equivalent exams.

Ineligibility for NUST Entry Test NET-2 Registration Schedule 2024

  • Candidates with any of the following deficiencies are NOT eligible to apply for admission.
  • Having secured less than 60% marks in Matric and FA/FSc.
  • Having failed/ not appeared in any subject in FA/FSc Part-I/ II.
  • Having secured less than 60% marks in O/A Level as per equivalence certificate issued by IBCC.
  • In case of O and A /equivalent foreign qualification, those not in possession of valid O level or equivalent qualification certificate issued by IBCC at the time of applying to NUST.
  • Female candidates are not eligible to apply for Aerospace, Avionics, and Civil Engineering at the Risalpur campuses.
  • Not possession of CNIC/ Form B/ NICOP.
  • Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for any undergraduate program.

A candidate/applicant can submit the NET and Admission forms available Online at the NUST Official website after providing his/her valid email address. On submission of the completed form, the candidate will print the fee invoice and deposit the processing fee as prescribed in the invoice in any branch of HabitBank Limited (HBL) or Standard Charted Bank (Pakistan) Ltd.

Documents Requirements to Appear in NET-2

NUST Entry Test (NET) Format

  • Candidates must be in possession of CNIC or Form B or NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis).
  • The admission process for all undergraduate programs is conducted once a year to facilitate the commencement of the academic year in the fall.

Paper-Based Entry test for the facility of candidates, there are two types of entry test modes that have been introduced by NUST and applicants can choose anyone according to their preference. The NUST Entry Test will be conducted at the Karachi, Islamabad, and Quetta campuses of the university. The tests at the Islamabad campus will be conducted on a computerized base while the paper-based tests are conducted at Quetta and Karachi campuses.

NUST NET-2 Entry Test Admission Procedure

  • Visit Official Website and get register by providing a valid e-mail address.
  • Candidates will receive an ID login and password for accessing the online application.
  • The online form is to be filled out and upload a passport-sized photo that is not more than one month older (with simple background) and complete the form. Form submission is successful and will be confirmed via an email sent by NUST.
  • Log in again to your account, and print the Fee Invoice for processing fee depositing on the My Account page.
  • Candidates can make a fee deposit at every branch at HBL. Fee deposits will be confirmed by e-mail within five days after the date of payment.
  • Candidates for computer-based tests must select the Test Date and Session out of the choices.
  • Test candidates who take a computer-based test will be assigned a Roll Number and Test Centre. They will also be assigned a Test Session with the Log-in ID, Password, and Password.
  • For a test that is paper-based the allocation of Testing Dates and Sessions will be determined according to a ‘First Come First Serve basis.
  • To take the Paper Based Test at Karachi and Quetta in April and July, test takers will receive an email about the printing process of Admit Card that will contain the exact time and the center of entry for the Test.
  • Candidates must take a printout of their admit cards and take them to the Test Centre along with the Original CNIC/Family Passport/Registration Certificate / Original Matric or FSc certificate with a photo as proof of identification.
  • Candidates may take part more than one time to increase their scores. The highest score will be selected by the system to determine merit-based scoring.
  • Candidates can examine their preferred selection of choices following the publication of the merit list. Candidates can however submit a request to change their preference ONCE in the selection process, by submitting a prescribed application. After that, requests for a change of preference won’t be accepted.
  • After depositing dues, if a candidate desire to be retained in the allocated program irrespective of the preferences given in the application form, he/she has to inform the University in writing or by Email at [email protected], so that his/her upgradation is blocked in subsequent selections.
  • If applicants fail to pay admission fees within the specified deadline are not considered candidates for admission.
  • The closing merits of session 2024’s various programs will be made available on the site for assistance
  • The admit cards will be kept in the Test Centres for further verification.

Selection of Candidates
