Institute of Space Technology Islamabad is one of the most reputable educational institutes in Pakistan. Entry test 2024:

Candidates are required to take the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) test for admissions at IST. Please note that GAT-General is acceptable for admission in all MS programs offered by IST whereas GAT-Subject is acceptable only for admission in PhD praograms.

The test is conducted by NTS in all major cities of Pakistan. You are required to directly contact NTS for this test. For further info on GAT-General and GAT-Subject test, please visit the official NTS website.

Acceptable Test Dates: The results of the GAT-General/GAT-Subject tests taken after 1st February 2024 are acceptable for admissions in session 2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

• FSc Pre-Engineering with minimum 60% overall marks however a student must have 65% marks in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry for admission.
• A-Level / Cambridge students should have IBCC certificate equivalent to FSc Pre-Engineering with overall 60% marks and must have at least two B’s and one C in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry for admission.
• 50% marks in NAT-IE.
• Age Limit: 22 Years
• Foreign candidates can also apply on the basis of SAT scores.

1. Prospectus of Institute of space technology is available online.
2. Candidates can apply online for admission at www.ist.edu.pk FSc / A-Level Result awaiting Students are eligible to apply for admission. Candidates have to submit their personal information there.
3. Candidates must specify their order of preference of disciplines in the application form.
4. Pakistani students are required to deposit the application processing fee of Rs 1500 through online deposit slip available at the website. Fee can be deposited in any online branch of HBL.
5. Need based and merit based scholarships are also available to the eligible students.

Admission shall be granted absolutely on merit which will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the following examinations, and according to the weightage mentioned against the respective examination.

Merit calculation is based on follows:

For FSC students: SSC 20%, FSc part 1 40% NAT IE/ICS 40%

For A-Level students: O level 40% NAT IE/ICS 60%
